RM of Brokenshell’s story

The Rural Municipality of Brokenshell No. 68 lies in the southeast part of Saskatchewan. It incorporated as a rural municipality on December 13, 1909.

Trossachs, an organized hamlet, is the main community within the RM, and the localities of Abbott, Axford, Brightmore, Clearfield and Yeoman are also found here. The RM's office was in Trossachs until 1998, when permission was received to share offices with the RM of Weyburn No. 67. Today the office is in Weyburn, though the RM's technical operations remain in Trossachs.
